I did not have a great experience this time. My waiter was ok but overall he seemed to be so busy to even keep our drinks filled. I asked for an allergy menu and they brought me out some paper that it was not valid after 8/31/11. I got a mango tea, which turned out to be nasty, had some type of funny taste to it. I made a decision to just go with a steak because it was probably the safest, and a salad and fruit for sides. The salad tasted really gross. I am not sure what was wrong but it tasted like something had gone bad. I had barely taken a bite and my waiter had not even noticed that I did not touch my salad till the very end of the night. I then got my steak and realized I was not asked how I wanted my steak to be prepared. It was ok but I am just thankful it was not overcooked. I asked him to see what the ingredients of the tortilla chips were and he could not tell me, came and told me because it was not on the allergy approved list it was not ok. I am fairly certain that there is no milk ingredients in tortilla chips but I was not about to try. Overall I was not pleased with the service and the amount of choices that I had available to me. I was overly hungry and I did not feel like I got full at all from chili's. The service was ok he just seemed to be totally busy with something else even though the restaurant was not busy. Here is a link to there allergy menu, it seems like it changes on a regular basis so check it before you go!

Colton's Steak House & Grill
My Rating:★★★★☆
We knew we wanted something sit down and local for dinner on our vacation. Because I am the one with the food issues we go to steak places because I can generally get steak or chicken with no problems. Let me tell you this is one of THE best food experiences I have had since finding out I have a milk allergy. They do not have an actual allergy menu. I ordered a ribeye and a sweet potato. My dad and brother ordered a onion blossom for an appetizer. I eventually asked what was in it and they told me the egg wash had milk. Our waitress then goes into the back and they made me a small onion blossom fried with no milk! They did not have to do this at all for me and they did! I was so excited because I love onions. My steak was the best steak I have had in years! I ordered veggies with it but it just did not sound good so I did not eat them. I am not 100% sure they did not have butter on them and I was not going to take my chances. The service was amazing and the food was sooo good!!!

Cattleman's Roadhouse
My Rating:★★★★☆
I always fret over going on vacations even if its a small road trip because of my dairy allergy. I cant eat at most fast food places and we are generally on the road so late at night not much is open. We finally came up on a roadhouse a little after 10 at night. They closed soon after so we made it in the nick of time. Our waitress was amazing! I explained to her that I was allergic to all milk products and those type of things. They did not have an actual allergy menu though. I ended up ordering a small filet and it was soooo good! I also got a sweet potato without anything. They cooked there food amazing and they were so kind to me. Sorry about the picture, was so hungry I forgot to take one till I had eaten some! This place is a bit expensive so if your looking for a nice place to eat this is the place to go!

Olive Garden
My Rating:★★★☆☆
Olive garden seems to have some inexpensive deals so mom and I decided to try there for lunch. I asked our waitress if there was a allergy menu and she gave me an attitude. I was a bit frustrated at that point and not going to eat. A few minutes later she came back out with a menu said they had just put it out a few days before and gave me the print off of allergies. The waitress brought out the salad and told us that the salad dressing has cheese in it. I would have had no idea that there dressing had milk products. The allergy menu said that I could have the bread sticks. I asked her about the ingredients and they put a butterish type thing on them. She was able to make some bread sticks without anything on them at all. I was also able to order the all you can eat pasta with meat sauce. I got the healthier of the pastas with whole grain pasta. Over all the food was delish! The waitress was good after giving attitude at the beginning and it was nice of her to make me bread sticks without anything on them!
